My name's Lainie Pomerleau. 

I specialize in queens and study how economic and social privilege intersects with gender in pre-modern literary culture.  I am particularly interested in how the writing practices and genre choices of privileged, literary women of the period have re-emerged in contemporary digital and print publications. I also work in  Old and Middle English popular religious literature, Chaucerian texts, medieval romance, Shakespeare's history plays, and women's literary culture.
